Rome Around in Wapids was a blast as it was the first race on my new ride. The Trek Top Fuel 98 really came through. The roots and trail inconsistancies were smoothed out by this full suspension rig. The trails werequite flat yet remained dry after the weeks past rain events. They were in fine shape - not dusty - which made for better race in my opinion.
Lynie came through with another win and she looked like she was having fun too! Now it's time for her to move up to Sport class. Plans have already been finalized for winter training at the local H.C.
The normal band of misfits and hooligans were in attendance and Team Extreme was out in force - along with someone new to this circus they call WORS: Safety Officer Ryan. Decked out in a jaunting pair of yellow mud boots, a high visibility safety vest, and of course a regulation safety hardhat. Ryan's feelings were crushed when he first arrived - laughter from the crowd arose with much gusto. Feelings be damned! He set off showing his innate bike handling abilities by deftly riding between lines of parked cars. Cutting the show short, he decided not to hurt himself or anyone else and dismounted the bike. Look for him at any and all races in the future. He might be selected loser of the week at a highly respected blog near you.
One more race for this year at Sheboygan. See you there. Look for Officer Ryan too!
